There's a story bubbling in my head
It's been bubbling in my subconscious for a while now. A short story. It needs to be written.
Then I found this today from the Penny Arcade website:
How to Build a Universe that Doesn't Fall Apart Two Days Later
This was written by Phillip K. Dick in 1978, and is the second time in my life that I have come across a better understanding of the nature of reality, in that writers are a significant part of it. Even though he is Episcopalian and focuses on the Bible, it doesn't matter - the core is still there and very important. You know it's important because the priest he spoke to about it became very agitated with the realization that this writer unknowingly was quoting the Bible in his work.
What makes it more intriguing is that he also relived the very same scene.
This is highly recommended reading, especially for any aspiring writers, sci-fi or other genres - it doesn't really matter. Read it.
